Terms & Conditions
Effective as of 19 Sep 2022
Agreement
By paying your Booking Fee or confirming your order, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms & Conditions. These Terms must be reviewed prior to booking, and proceeding with payment indicates your full acceptance.
1. Quotations
1.1 Quotations are valid for 7 days from the date of issue.
1.2 A quotation does not guarantee availability or confirm your booking.
1.3 To secure your date, a Booking Fee of 25% of your total order must be paid within 7 days of receiving your quote. Once payment is received, your booking is confirmed.
1.4 If your desired date becomes unavailable prior to payment of the Booking Fee, Lavender Rose Cake Studio is not obliged to honour the quotation.
1.5 Pricing is based solely on the flavour, design, and size of your product β not the event type. (No wedding surcharge here!)
2. My Promise
2.1 Every order is crafted with care to deliver a product that meets β and ideally exceeds β your expectations.
2.2 Designs and colours may vary slightly due to the handmade nature of our products, digital screen variations, and edible material limitations.
2.3 Inspiration images are welcome, but all products are made using artistic licence to ensure a unique creation tailored to your vision.
3. Payments
3.1 Your Booking Fee (25%) is due within 7 days of quotation to confirm your order.
3.2 The remaining balance is due 4 weeks before your event or collection date.
3.3 Orders placed within 4 weeks of the required date require full payment immediately upon invoice.
3.4 Payments may be made securely via Stripe or bank transfer.
3.5 All Booking Fees are non-refundable (see Section 9).
3.6 Orders not paid within the specified timeframe may be cancelled without notice.
4. Design & Product Specifications
4.1 While I strive to match your design as closely as possible, exact replication of another makerβs work is not guaranteed.
4.2 Please provide any relevant references (colour swatches, invitations, photos, etc.) at the time of ordering.
4.3 It is your responsibility to check all details on the invoice/contract (date, time, product type, flavour, design, price, etc.) for accuracy.
4.4 My kitchen handles common allergens including nuts, dairy, gluten, eggs, and soy. Although every effort is made to prevent cross-contamination, I cannot guarantee that any item is allergen-free.
4.5 If fresh florals are supplied by me, specific varieties and colours cannot be guaranteed. I reserve the right to refuse any florals known to be toxic or unsafe for use on edible products.
4.6 I reserve the right to use photographs of your finished products for marketing and promotional purposes.
5. Collection & Delivery
5.1 Collection
Orders can be collected from my residence in Stafford Heights.
5.1.1 All collection times must be pre-arranged.
5.1.2 If you are running late, please contact me as soon as possible.
5.1.3 If you arrive more than 15 minutes past the agreed time without communication, I may not be available due to other commitments, and a later pickup time may need to be arranged.
5.1.4 Collection confirms that your order has been received in excellent condition.
5.1.5 Once collected, responsibility transfers to you, and Lavender Rose Cake Studio is not liable for any damage.
5.1.6 Products are fresh, delicate, and perishable β please handle with care.
5.1.7 Transport products on a flat, non-slip surface (e.g. the boot of your car) in a cool, shaded area. Non-slip matting is highly recommended for cakes.
5.1.8 Avoid direct sunlight or heat β buttercream in particular will melt. Air-conditioning is essential when transporting cakes.
5.1.9 Drive carefully and avoid sudden braking, sharp corners, bumps, or rough roads.
5.2 Delivery
Delivery is available upon request for an additional fee.
5.2.1 Delivery outside the Stafford area will be quoted based on distance and travel time.
5.2.2 I strive to be punctual, but delays may occur due to traffic or unforeseen circumstances such as accidents, congestion, road closures, or adverse weather. I will communicate delays where possible, but cannot be held liable for them.
5.2.3 You must provide clear delivery instructions, including guidance for public spaces (parking, meeting points), venue loading bays, and the name or role of the onsite contact (reception, event coordinator, manager, etc.).
5.2.4 For venues requiring setup, a clean, clear, level surface in a cool environment must be ready upon arrival.
5.2.5 Once delivered and accepted by you or an authorised person, the product is deemed to be received in excellent condition.
5.2.6 Lavender Rose Cake Studio is not responsible for damage that occurs after delivery.
6. Storage & Serving
6.1 Keep products in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat.
6.2 Fondant cakes and decorations must not be refrigerated as moisture can cause damage.
6.3 For outdoor events, store items indoors or in a shaded space until serving time. While I take great care in preparation, I cannot take responsibility for issues caused by weather, wildlife, or venue conditions.
6.4 Cookies and macarons should remain sealed until serving to maintain freshness.
6.5 Macarons must be stored in the fridge. Bring them to room temperature 15β30 minutes before serving for best texture and flavour.
6.6 All products can be frozen. Wrap securely in multiple layers and keep sealed while thawing to avoid condensation.
6.7 All cookies will be heat-sealed and labelled with ingredients, allergen information, and a best-before date unless otherwise requested. Heat-sealed cookies have a best-before of approximately 8 weeks.
7. Cutting & Serving (Cakes Only)
7.1 A cutting guide will be provided with your cake.
7.2 All non-edible elements (supports, dowels, florals, ribbons, etc.) must be removed before serving.
7.3 Edible and non-edible internal supports may be present to ensure stability. You and the authorised contact will be informed of these upon collection or delivery.
7.4 For safety reasons, do not push faces or body parts into the cake β hidden supports may cause injury. Lavender Rose Cake Studio accepts no liability for injury caused by improper handling or misuse once the cake has left my care.
8. Changes
8.1 Any changes must be requested in writing at least 2 weeks before your event or collection date.
8.2 I will accommodate changes where possible; however, additional fees may apply.
8.3 If agreement cannot be reached regarding design or pricing, cancellation terms in Section 9 apply.
9. Postponements & Cancellations
9.1 Booking Fees are non-refundable but may be transferable at my discretion.
9.2 Requests to postpone must be made in writing. I will do my best to accommodate a new date, but this may not be possible if the preferred date is already booked.
9.3 Cancellations must be made in writing. No refunds are provided for cancellations within 14 days of the event/collection date.
9.4 In the rare event that I must cancel due to illness or unforeseen circumstances, a full refund will be issued within 10 business days.
10. Problems

10.2 All products are made in accordance with Australian Food Safety Standards.
10.3 If you have an issue with your order, please contact me as soon as possible.
10.4 Concerns regarding design or appearance must be raised at the time you receive the product.
10.5 Concerns regarding quality or taste must be reported immediately. All uneaten cake must be returned on the same day for inspection.
